PALS project( Psychosocial Aid for people living with LeproSy): funded by the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine & Hygiene (RSTMH) UK. Helps Leprosy-affected individuals residing in settlements face significant mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, and stigma, which severely impact their quality of life. The PALS project was implemented to address these mental health issues through targeted interventions which include psychosocial support, carer-training for care-givers and distribution of food packs. Our intervention demonstrated significant effectiveness in improving mental health outcomes and reducing stigma among leprosy-affected individuals, suggesting the potential for scalable psychosocial interventions in similar populations.
